John began his career in corporate finance at Salomon Brothers' Boston office where he developed the Corporate Contact Unit, a fledgling corporate finance practice.  He then created the Corporate Services Group for Drexel Burnham Lambert and later for Tucker Anthony in Boston.  This group worked closely with the corporate finance departments on site and performed investment banking services for the firm's banking clients. 

Since 1995 he has been a principal of Conanicut Finance Advisors, Inc. providing M&A advisory, business valuations, fairness opinions and debt/equity placement for middle market corporations. John has been NASD series 7 and 63 licensed and is a graduate of Brown University and the Harvard Business School.

Industry Specializations:  Corporate capital restructuring, asset purchases and sales and business valuation.

J. ERIC BORNHOFFT, Managing Director

Previously Managing Director of MedTech Capital, an investment banking company specializing in life sciences, and President and CEO of CliniSys, Inc., a clinical reference laboratory.  Eric has also worked as an independent consultant providing support in strategic planning and operations to venture capital, merchant banking, consumer products, computer software and healthcare service companies. 

He has served as Executive Vice President of a large pharmaceutical and hospital supply company.  Eric holds a BA and MBA from Boston University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business school.
